Tsugaru Lacquerware Workshop Tour & Polishing Experience (with Lunch, Vegan-Friendly Options Available)

At the Tsugaru Lacquerware Workshop, located within the Traditional Craft Museum, you can learn about the history of Tsugaru-nuri lacquerware and see handcrafted items, including modern products designed for contemporary life.
Guests also have the opportunity to try making their own Tsugaru-nuri chopsticks.
After the workshop, enjoy a lunch at a nearby hot spring inn, featuring dishes made with plentiful local ingredients, and use the chopsticks you made yourself.

  • You can take your handmade chopsticks home as a souvenir immediately after the experience.
  • For those interested, a day-use hot spring bath can also be arranged.
